Mental Health Interns

At this time, all internship opportunities are filled. Once internship opportunities open up National Crisis Support will update this website accordingly. National Crisis Support offers internships and field placements to the mental health community interested in interning for two semesters or more.  We do not accept interns for one semester only. Our interns attend various treatment modality seminars. The students might learn various aspects of nonprofits, such as case management, group facilitation, advocacy, digital marketing, web design, fundraising, donor management, volunteer management, public relations, program evaluation, student peer-support, and other areas. National Crisis Support also offers weekly LMSW study groups and test material. Available Internship hours: Mo-Thu 10am-2pm CST (if more hours are needed Mo-Thu 9 am – 2 pm CST). No evening or weekend internships are offered at this time. All interns must reside in the USA.    

Non-Mental Health Interns

At this time, all internship opportunities are filled. Once internship opportunities open up National Crisis Support will update this website accordingly. National Crisis Support non-mental health interns can learn about various aspects of a nonprofit, such as management, financial services, digital marketing, fundraising, web design, donor management, public relations, advocacy, volunteer management, public relations, special projects such as art design, and many more. Internship hours are available between Mo-Thu 10 am – 2 pm (CST). No evening or weekend internships are offered at this time. All interns must reside in the USA. 

University Affiliations

National Crisis Support has affiliation agreements with various universities at the undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. levels. The following universities are currently affiliated with National Crisis Support:

  • Angelo State University,
  • Baylor University,
  • the University of Tennessee,
  • the University of Texas at Arlington,
  • the University of Texas at El Paso,
  • the University of Texas at San Antonio,
  • Our Lady of the Lake University, 
  • Walden University,
  • Western New Mexico University, and
  • Winthrop University.

Other universities are currently inquiring. National Crisis Support will update the list accordingly. We are asking universities interested to become affiliated to send an email to intern@nationalcrisissupport.org.
